Vespa Large Frame - 60's to 70's - Identification

Bikes made mainly in the 1960's, had a standard frame style shared with many scooter models. Below is a guide on how to identify them with corresponding pictures below:

  • Only the right hand side (engine) cowl is removable.
  • A glovebox is located in the left hand side cowl accessed through a hinged door in the top.
  • The engine castings are in two sections only; the two crankcase halves
  • The frame tunnel from the rear brake pedal to the rear does not flare out.
  • There is a single engine bolt through the frame.
