I am just starting to understand and get interested in this aspect of scootering. The engines in most scooters are super reliable and bulletproof. The technology of two stroke engines has greatly increased from the 60s and 70s which is when most scooter engines were designed. From GP motorcycles to dirt bikes the horsepower to displacement ratio has been increasing. This section will share my very limited knowledge of what I have learned so far. I have just added some definitions of what I understand to help out.
