Oil - General

Oil combats friction inside the motor and gearbox. Special oil is added to a 2 stroke motor to lubricate the piston, bearings, and crankshaft. Transmission oil is used to bathe the clutch , transmission bearings and other parts and keep the wear down to a minimum. This section will explain different types of oil, how to mix gasoline and oil at the correct ratios, and describe how to change your transmission oil in both a Lambretta and a Vespa.
